I am a fully qualified and experienced Clinical Hypnotherapist,
teacher of Mindfulness and NLP Life and Performance Coach. I completed my training with Central England College (CEC), a leading provider of clinical hypnotherapy, coaching and mindfulness training. CEC has, on three occasions been the recipient of the International Training School of the Year award from the Association for Professional Hypnosis and Psychotherapy
Having been granted the prestigious Hypnotherapy Practitioner Diploma (HPD) by the National Council for Hypnotherapy (NCT), widely considered to be the 'Gold Standard' professional qualification in the field, I am also a registered member of the NCH and work strictly in accordance with its Code of Conduct, Performance and Ethics. As a CNHC registered practitioner I have demonstrated that I meet UK wide standards of service quality and patient safety and abide by a rigorous code of conduct all of which is approved by the Professional Standards Authority for Health & Social Care.
I am also a
Chartered Member of the Chartered Institute of Personnel & Development (MCIPD)
and have over 15 years past corporate experience working in senior HR management roles
within Marks & Spencer plc and the NHS. There, I gained extensive experience within the areas of organisational development, employee health & well-being, bullying and harassment, personal, team & leadership development, work performance, conflict and relationship issues.
I provide one-to-one therapy clinics & coaching sessions and
also group & one-to-one mindfulness sessions to clients from

In addition, I am privileged to run a busy HypnoBirthing practice. Since August 2011, I have helped over 200 pregnant women and their birth partners overcome pre-birth anxieties and prepare for a calm, confident and much more comfortable birth. Tailored to organisational values and goals, my programmes are designed to equip leaders, managers and individual employees with leading-edge, evidence-based mindset tools to help reduce their stress levels, reduce incidences of "burnout", low confidence, overwhelm and procrastination all of which can have such a devastating impact on an organisation's bottom line results including lower attendance levels, high employee turnover rates, low productivity levels and poor-quality ideas-generation.

I use my professional expertise and experience to create each client's therapy plan to meet the unique circumstances of their problem and their own desired outcomes. I always discuss and agree my proposed therapy plan with you and will not proceed unless you are happy to do so. I will also discuss openly with you any adjustments that I deem to be appropriate during our time together. I think it is very important that you feel comfortable to ask me absolutely anything you wish to ask me about my approach and also to provide feedback on any changes that you experience during and between each session.
Evidence-based therapy techniques that I may utilise include clinical hypnotherapy, mindfulness, NLP and other psychotherapy techniques (including EFT, CBT and ACT) as appropriate.
The number of sessions required varies for each individual client depending on the specific nature of the problem, issue or condition being experienced.
For example, therapy for smoking cessation can typically be successfully provided over one or two sessions. Whereas, treatment for a phobia, presentation or performance issue may take between one or two sessions up to four sessions depending on the aspects forming the problem. Treatment to overcome anxiety or low mood can often be between four and six sessions. This is only a guide, however and I will be able to advise you far more accurately as to the number of sessions you may need during your free initial consultation.
